There so many online classes these days, it’s hard to know what’s real, what’s a scam and what’s the right one for you.
They’ve all have something in comment.
They don’t give much details and they all want your money.
What is there to do?
Our southern neighbors aren’t always good education.
If you’ve read some of my previous blogs, It’s a good thing that I have quit my job.
I’ve sat on my computer chair for hours, days even weeks, googling, Youtubing, Tiktoking, researching everything and anything about flipping houses in Canada. I would never have had the time if I had a full time job.
All I was getting were mostly United States reviews and classes.
Living in Canada, we tent to be influenced by our southern neighbors.
There is a few issues with following the United States.
Number one issue, Winter.
There’s some awesome Youtube video’s, websites and other great information online about DYI in renovations that comes from the United States.
However a lot of them do not apply to our “fridged” Canadian winters.
Depending on the province you live in, we can’t really flip houses or do all kinds of renovations in winters.
Good luck finding a roofer or to pour concrete in January! (I can only talk for the Eastern Coast of course)
In many States, the US flippers can flip year round. Many of these “How to flip” courses available online, does not apply to the seasonal risks we have here in the Great North.
Number two issue of buying an online course in the US is of course our difference in currencies.
At this time of writing my blog, every US dollar is equal to 1.29 CAD.
A course that is promised to be 5000$ ends up being a 6500$!
That’s a lot of money!
Searching for the right real estate education.
Research & gathering information, so much that I started cluttering them some where’s in my laptop. I actually got viruses and malware on my laptop by doing so.
My laptop started to get slower, I couldn’t open some of my programs anymore. Even with my virus and malware protections I had on my laptop, it didn’t’ seem to fix the issue.
Off to the Computer wise in town to get it fix. I had to continue my search on my phone.
After a few weeks (4-6 weeks), I ended up having so much pieces of paper on my desk with potential websites or leads.
Some leads I didn’t want to open due to virus or malware and others, just didn’t give enough information unless I bought some 297$ packages, just so they can get your email address and send you some crap emails every so often.
I eventually had to stop my search and pick one.
None of them felt right for me.
You know how your phone seems to listen to you? Talk about buying something and the next thing you know that particular thing is on every feed of your phone!
I usually avoid or delete them.
Except for this particular ad.
It popped up on my phone about a certain coaching testimonial video that got my attention.
I clicked on it…
Finding my next education.
Finally! A Canadian flipping education course I can actually apply for!
The testimonial video was about a student that became a coach.
These videos showed follow-ups of their students results and how the students success progressed after taken their programs.
BlackCard University was founded by Stefan Aarnio. The Author of Money People Deal. A book I had 1/4 left to read at the time of my discovery.
The answer was in my face the whole time! Literally!
BlackCardU claim their classes are 1 on 1 with a coach they set you up with, and get you working in the real-world.
Meaning you jump on properties right away, and guides you through step by step process from start to finish.
They have 4 different programs that do not come for cheap, and they guarantee working with you in order for you to make your money back and more.
There’s a catch, you need to qualify in order to become a student and be paired with a coach.
I reached out to them.
